Current Works: An Exploration of Non-Binary and Queer Identity, Grief, and the Aztec Deity Xochipilli

Body as Canvas: The Intersection of Narrative and Form

The works presented in this collection serve as a visual extension of the Our Lord of the Flowers mythos. Moving beyond traditional portraiture, these pieces utilize the hyper-saturated aesthetics and the artist's own queer body to interrogate the architecture of grief and the deeper dimensions of gender experience.

By juxtaposing the raw, visceral textures of the human body with synthetic textiles and floral symbolism, the collection explores the tension between the "Constructed Self" and the "Sublimated Self." Each image is also a study of Aztec myth, which permeates the novel and the ohotographic studies and is governed by the deity Xochipilli, often cited as a god of queerness, psychedelics, music and flowers.

This curated collection represents the latest evolution of the Our Lord of the Flowers universe by Cesar Torres. Bridging the gap between contemporary photography and narrative fiction, these works explore the intersection of the physical body and emotional transition. This body of work is available for exhibition and limited edition archival printing.
